Bruce E Cobine

Bruce E. Cobine, 61, of Fayetteville, IL, born June 17, 1955 in Alton, IL died Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Belleville, IL.

He was a retired truck driver, a member of Cross Pointe Christian Church, Mascoutah, IL and a U. S. Army Desert Storm veteran.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Marinetta Cobine, his wife Mary A., nee Miller, Cobine whom he married in Alton, IL on Dec. 30, 1975 and who died Nov. 23, 2014 and a granddaughter, Mary Edwards.

He is survived by his children, Jonathan (Sunarti) Edwards of Fayetteville, IL, Christina Arnold of Granite City, IL, Jennifer Edwards of Rosewood Heights, IL, James Shanks of Mascoutah, IL, George Shanks III of Fayetteville, IL, Robert Shanks of Alton, IL; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; also survived by brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Funeral: A memorial service will be held 2 PM Friday, Nov. 25, 2016 at Cross Pointe Christian Church with Pastor Charlie McGee officiating. Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO at a later date.
