Emery Shane Bock

Emery Shane Bock, 11, of Mascoutah, IL, was born on December 12, 2004 in Richmond Heights, MO. He went to play with Jesus on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Mascoutah.
He is survived by his parents, Andrea, nee Drysdale, and Major Michael Holt US Air Force of Mascoutah, IL, and Matthew Bock of Ashley, IL; siblings, SPC Kelsea Bock US Army of Fort Hood, TX, Hannah, Megan, and Lydia Bock of Mascoutah, IL, Mikkohl and Stella Holt of Addison, IL; grandparents, Clara Dicus of Noble, IL; Michael Drysdale of Vincennes, IN; Janet and George Bock of Ashley, IL; and John and Donna Holt of Chowchilla, CA; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and his extended family of nurses, therapists, and teachers.
Emery’s infectious smile was known to fill any room, and his courageous spirit touched lives all over the world. He proved that life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

Visitation: visitation will be from 3 to 8 PM Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL; and from 9 to 10 AM Monday, Nov. 21, 2016 at Bethel UMC in Mascoutah, IL.
Funeral: funeral services will be held 10 AM Monday, Nov. 21, 2016 at Bethel United Methodist Church in Mascoutah with the Rev. Andrew Anthony officiating. A graveside service will be held 1:30 PM Monday, Nov. 21, 2016 in Noble Prairie Cemetery, Noble, IL.
