Earl T. Haas, 80, of Mascoutah, IL, born Mar. 6, 1936 in Engelmann Township, IL, died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He worked many years for Geissler Roofing in Belleville, IL before retiring and was a farmer. He was a member of Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah; the Roofers Local #2 in St. Louis; and St. Clair County Farm Bureau member.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Alvina, nee Jung, Haas; a brother, Charles Haas; a great grandson, Dalton Earl Haas; his mother and father-in-law, Bernard and Pearl, nee Haas, Friederich, brothers and sisters-in-law, LeRoy Schulte, Richard Friederich, Allen Reinneck, Werner Friederich, Leona and Earl Billhartz, and Cathy Schneider.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte, nee Friederich, Haas whom he married at Holy Childhood Church in Mascoutah on June 7, 1955; his children, Ronald (Amy) Haas, Cheryl (Kent) Slaven, Kevin (Julie) Haas, Deborah (Larry) Yarber, Chris (Gina) Haas, Lisa (Dale) Wehmeyer, Donna (Thomas) Rosenthal, Connie (Tim Becherer) Schulte, Wayne (Carrie) Haas, and Stacie (Brian) Funk; grandchildren, Jerrod (Melissa) Haas, Jeffrey (Kristin Parker) Haas, Jayme (Tracy) Haas, Amberleigh and Alyssa Slaven, Ryan (Kari) Haas, Kari (David Groves) Haas, Chad (Laura) Yarber, Christopher Yarber, Adam Haas, Brian (Kim) Haas, Matthew (Alissa) Wehmeyer, Mark (Kristin) Wehmeyer, Kristen Wehmeyer, Zachary (Nikki) Rosenthal, Jeramey (Amanda) Rosenthal, Alex (Lacey Egbert) Schulte, Allison and Andrew Schulte, Justin Haas, Luke and Lance Funk; step-grandchildren, Sophia and Nicholas Seibert, Zach, Michaela, and Mackenzie Becherer; great-grandchildren, John, Rachel, Grace, Eathan, Savannah, Iszabelle, Levi, Reagan, Bryce, Shea, David, Payton, Kaitlyn, Aubrey, Wyatt, Lane, Weston, Lucas, Macie, Colten, Emma, Chase, Thomas, Chloe, and Ian; a sister, Ruth Ann (Al) Forsyth; a brother, Leon (Sandy) Haas; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lenora Schulte, Norma Reinneck, Sharon Fortune, Jan (Mike) Hajek, Anna Lee Friederich, Charles Friederich, David (Rita) Friederich; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. .

Visitation: Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Friday, Nov. 18, 2016 and from 9 to 10 AM Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016 at the Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah, IL.
Funeral: A funeral Mass will be held 10 AM Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016 at the Holy Childhood Catholic Church with Father Paul Wienhoff and Msgr. James Blazine officiating. Burial will follow in the Holy Childhood Catholic Cemetery in Mascoutah.
