Phillip E. Bowker, 74, of Mascoutah, IL, born Jan. 20, 1942 in South Bend, IN died Monday Oct. 24, 2016 at San Gabriel Memory Care, Highland IL.
He was a retired Master Sergeant from the U. S. Air Force after 28 years of service and also retired from General American in St. Louis. He was a member of Cross Pointe Christian Church, Mascoutah, IL, Summerfield Lions Club and a U. S. Air Force Viet Nam war veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Ruby, nee Thompson, Bowker, his wife, Judith Anne, nee Toth, Bowker whom he married in Hudson Lake, IN on Nov. 27, 1971 and who died Sept. 3, 2014, a son, Wayne A Miller, Jr., a daughter, Susan Bowker, two grandchildren, Afton Miller and Christopher Bailey, a son-in-law, Angelo Coleman and a brother, Harold “Tuffy” Bowker.
Surviving are his children, Myra Coleman of Wichita, KS, Clayton Miller, Sr. of Mascoutah, IL, Kenneth (Jackie) Bowker of Savannah, GA, Patrick Miller of Summerfield, IL, Rose Bowker of St. Mary’s, MO; 23 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; two brothers, Robert (Alberta) Bowker of Kingston, TN, Mark (Joyce) Bowker of Fellsmere, FL; two sisters, Eula Bennette of Port Isabell, TX and Sandra (Eddie) Samples of Kingston, TN.

Visitation: There will be a visitation from 2 PM to 5 PM Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016 at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.
Funeral: A funeral service will be held 5 PM Saturday, Oct. 29 at Moll Funeral Home with Pastor Charlie McGhee officiating. Per Phillip’s wishes, his body will be cremated following the funeral service.
