Della M. Brooks

Della M. Brooks, nee Mabus, 99, of Belleville, IL, born Mar. 23, 1917 in Tamaroa, IL, died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Belleville, IL.

Della was a homemaker.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Frances, nee Thompson, Mabus; a daughter, Frances Johnson; a son-in-law, Ty Hancock; two granddaughters, Marcia Hancock and Tara Noble; four brothers, Carl, Norvel, Gerald, and Jerald Lee Mabus.

She is survived by a daughter, Marge Brooks of Bunker Hill, IL; a son, Michael (Peggy) Brooks of Belleville, IL; a son-in-law, Terrell Johnson of North Carolina; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren.

Visitation: visitation will be from 4 to 7 PM Monday, Sept. 12, 2016 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.

Funeral: funeral services will be held 10 AM Tuesday, Sept. 13,, 2016 at the Moll Funeral Home with Pastor Matthew Brooks officiating.  Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Sesser, IL.
