Cecelia O. Siegel, nee Haas, 89, of Mascoutah, IL, born Oct. 31, 1926 in Mascoutah Township, IL, died Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016 at her home.
After graduating from high school Cecelia worked in St. Louis for a while and for Illinois Power Co. in Belleville, IL until she got married, and then raised her family on her family farm. She was a member of Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah; HCCCW; Holy Childhood Mother’s Club; and the St. Clair County Farm Bureau.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Anna, nee Christ, Haas; her husband, Norman J. Siegel whom she married in Mascoutah, IL on May 11, 1948; a daughter, Helen Thouvenot; a son, Jerome Siegel; a son-in-law, George Wilkerson; three sisters, Mary (Harold) Wangelin, Mildred (Gene) Fellin, and Clara (Gene) Anstedt.
Cecelia is survived by six children, Rose Mary Wilkerson of Fillmore, IL, James (Catherine) Siegel of Mascoutah, IL, Ann Marie (Mike) Pace of Mascoutah, IL, Carol (Jeff) Winter of Belleville, IL, Ruth Siegel of Tacoma, WA, Gerald (Jill) Siegel of Mascoutah, IL; son-in-law, Ken (Carole) Thouvenot of O’Fallon, IL; 23 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation:
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL. A prayer service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Funeral:
A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016 at Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah with Father Paul Wilhelm officiating. Burial will be in Holy Childhood Catholic Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.
