Steven L Bowers

Steven L. Bowers, 59, of Mascoutah, IL, born Nov. 10, 1956 in Mascoutah , IL, died Monday, Aug. 22, 2016 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.

He was a retired diesel mechanic and a member of the V.F.W. Post 7682, Mascoutah, IL.  Steven was a United States Air Force veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack E. and Edna C., nee Laux, Bowers.

He is survived by his wife, Ann M., nee Steiger, Bowers whom he married in Belleville, IL on Feb. 14, 1998; four sons, Marshall Bowers of Chicago, IL, Jeremy Whitten of Mascoutah, IL, Vance (Kait) Whitten of Belleville, IL, Joey (Meaghan) Whitten of Freeburg, IL; three daughters, Heather (David) O’Neal of Kansas City, KS, Becky Whitten of Mascoutah, IL, Stephanie Bowers of Mascoutah, IL; nine grandchildren; and a sister, Kathy Worley of Queen Creek, AZ.

Visitation: Friends may call from 11 AM to 1 PM Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2016 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.

Funeral: A funeral service will be held 1 PM Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2016 at the funeral home with Pastor Duane Smith officiating.  Burial with military honors will be at 2:30 PM in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
