Frank E. Armstutz, 72, of Mascoutah, IL, born Aug. 26, 1943 in Belleville, IL,               died suddenly Friday, July 15, 2016 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital ER, in Belleville IL.

He was the sexton at the Mascoutah City Cemetery from 1966 to 2001 before retiring. He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah; St. Clair County Farm Bureau; and member of the Mascoutah City Cemetery Board.

Frank took care of Mascoutah’s cemetery as if it was his own; he enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, four wheeling with friends, playing euchre, and going to midget car races. He enjoyed a good laugh and loved to joke and talk with people.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank F. and Louise, nee Winsel, Armstutz; two brothers, Raymond and Edward Heller; and three sisters, Edna Kurrus, Mildred Boehne, and Nellie Golis.

He is survived by his dear friend, Pam Kuhn of Breese, IL; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Visitation: Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 PM Monday, July 18, 2016 at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.

Funeral: A funeral service will be held 10 AM Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Moll Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Spratte officiating. Burial will be in Mascoutah City Cemetery.
