Mark L. Rhodes

Mark L. Rhodes, 71, of Mascoutah, IL, born July 26, 1944 in East St. Louis, IL, died Tuesday, Apr. 26, 2016 at Terrace on the Park in Mascoutah, IL.

Mark was a retired superintendant from the City of Mascoutah’s Water Department; member of Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah; and he served in the U. S. Army in the 101 ^st Airborne.  Mark enjoyed camping, fishing, boating and anything outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Virginia, nee Roy, Rhodes; and a son, Jason Rhodes.

Surviving are his wife, Ellen, nee Schlichter, Rhodes whom he married at Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah on Jan. 29, 1966; two sons, Stephen (Allison) Rhodes of O’Fallon, IL, and David Rhodes of Mascoutah, IL; five grandchildren, Abigail, Zachary, Mary Ellen, Veronica, and Natalie Rhodes; a brother, Philip Rhodes of Portland, OR; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:30 PM Friday, Apr. 29, 2016 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.

Funeral: A funeral service will be held 7:30 PM Friday, Apr. 29, 2016 at the funeral home with Father Von Deeke officiating.  A private burial will be held Saturday, Apr. 30, 2016 in the Holy Childhood Catholic Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.
