Casimir J. "Buddy" Hummert

Casimir J. “Buddy” Hummert, 90, of Mascoutah, IL, born Aug. 1, 1925 in Fayetteville Township, IL, died Friday, March 18, 2016 in the same home that he was born in and lived all his life.

Casimir was a retired farmer; member of St. Pancratius Catholic Church in Fayetteville, IL; was an avid hunter, enjoyed being in the woods, and in recent years riding his golf cart around the farm.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph C. and Mary E., nee Loesker, Hummert.

Surviving are his wife, Lois M., nee Sandheinrich, Hummert whom he married in St. Libory, IL on June 1, 1949; five children, Steve Hummert, Sr. and friend Patsy of Mascoutah, IL, Lucy (Doug) Johnston of Mascoutah, IL, James (Denise) Hummert of Mascoutah, IL, Jodi (Tommy) Pouliezos of Imperial, MO, and Curt (Jenny) Hummert of Mascoutah, IL; 12 grandchildren, Melissa, Michelle, Steve “Dude” Jr., Shaun, Cortney, Josh, Tony, Austin, Mitchell, Casey, Chelsi, Haley; and nine great-grandchildren.
