Marilyn E. H. Fischer, nee Stein, 83, of New Baden, IL, born May 24, 1932 in Engelmann Twp., IL, died Sunday, Mar. 13, 2016 at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO.
Marilyn was a retired cafeteria worker from Wesclin High School; and she and her husband Wesley farmed together, and owned and operated Fischer Airport. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Mascoutah, IL. Marilyn enjoyed cooking, sewing, quilting, gardening and mowing grass.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Ida, nee Krausz, Stein; her husband, Wesley J. Fischer whom she married in Henderson, KY on July 18, 1949 and who died Mar. 17, 1992; a grandson, Joseph T. Fischer; and a brother-in-law, William Lindauer.
She is survived by two sons, Dale Fischer of Okawville, IL, and Duane (Wilma) Fischer of Lebanon, IL; three grandchildren, Stephanie Fuhler, Kristal (Bryon) Lewis, and Brandon (Katherine) Fischer; six great-grandchildren, Bradley Fuhler, Brianna Lane, Reed, Grant, and Bennett Lewis, and Emmett Fischer; three brothers, Allen (Rose) Stein of Mascoutah, IL, Donald (Connie) Stein of O’Fallon, IL, and Darryl (Sandra Jo) Stein of Mascoutah, IL; two sisters, Marlene Lindauer of Smithton, IL, and Carol Jean (Kenneth) Stumpf of Freeburg, IL; nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Wednesday, Mar. 16, 2016 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL, and from 9 to 10 AM Thursday, Mar. 17, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Church in Mascoutah.
Funeral: A funeral service will be held 10 AM Thursday, Mar. 17, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Church in Mascoutah with Pastor Kirk Clayton officiating. Burial will follow in Mascoutah City Cemetery.
