Edna S. Heimann

Edna S. Heimann, nee Hoerdt, 109, of Mascoutah, IL, born May 21, 1906 in Mascoutah, IL, died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2016 at the MarKa Nursing Home in Mascoutah, IL.

Edna worked at Martha Manning Dress Factory in Mascoutah for 25 years before retiring; was a volunteer at the Mascoutah Senior Center for 25 years till her 90 ^th birthday; a lifetime member of Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah; Holy Childhood Council of Catholic Women; and was a quilter at Holy Childhood for over 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Heimann whom she married in Mascoutah, IL on June 1, 1927 and who died June 8, 1981; her parents, Edmund and Theresa, nee Fietsam, Hoerdt; two sons-in-law, Jean Nodurft, and Clifford Elliott; a daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Heimann; two sisters, Caroline Wombacher and Helen Moorleghen; and a brother, Allen Hoerdt.

She is survived by three children, Rosalie Elliott of Mascoutah, IL, Helen Nodurft of DeKalb, IL, and Charles Heimann of Spring, TX; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Visitation: there will be no visitation.

Funeral: a memorial Mass will be held 9 AM on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at the Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah.  Private burial will be held in Holy Childhood Catholic Cemetery in Mascoutah.
