Walter Joffray

Walter Joffray, 95, of Mascoutah, IL, born Apr. 17, 1920 in Belleville, IL, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016 at Four Fountains Convalescent Center in Belleville, IL.

Walter was a retired pipefitter from Local 101 in Belleville, IL; a retired farmer; and a member of St. Pancratius Catholic Church in Fayetteville, IL.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter A. and Mary, nee Adrian, Joffray; a daughter, Barbara Ann Joffray; a sister and brother-in-law, Marian and Bill Cascio; and other sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

He is survived by his wife, Lucille, nee Rueter, Joffray whom he married in Mascoutah, IL on Nov. 11, 1953; a son, Roger Joffray of Mascoutah, IL; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Krausz of Belleville, IL, and Kathleen Rueter of Mascoutah, IL; a brother-in-law, Joe Rueter of Mascoutah, IL; nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL. A prayer service will be held at 4 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Funeral: A funeral Mass will be held 10 AM Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016 at St. Pancratius Catholic Church in Fayetteville, IL with Father Paul Wienhoff and Father Roger Karban officiating.  Burial will be in St. Pancratius Catholic Cemetery, Fayetteville, IL.
