Mary Ann Mueller

Mary Ann Mueller, nee Duco, 93, of Swansea, IL, formerly of Mascoutah, IL, born Apr. 2, 1922 in Belleville, IL died Saturday, Dec. 26, 2015 at the MarKa Nursing Home in Mascoutah, IL.

Mary Ann retired as a seamstress after 30 years at Martha Manning Dress Factory in Mascoutah; she was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Belleville, IL and a former member of Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah, IL.  She was a longtime quilter and bingo player at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church in Belleville.  She enjoyed bowling and watching Cardinal’s baseball.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Ida, nee Haas, Duco; her husband, Henry T. Mueller whom she married in St. Charles, MO on Apr. 13, 1941 and who died July 18, 1985; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Lynn Mueller;  three brothers, Lorraine “Duke”, Joseph, Jr., and Monroe “Monty” Duco; three sisters, Lillian Rosenberg, Vera Dagne, and Verna Choler.

She is survived by three children, Kenneth (Alice) Mueller of Swansea, IL, Jane (Charles “Chuck”) Warren of Swansea, IL, and Don Mueller of New Memphis, IL; 12 grandchildren, Angie (Matt) Greaney, Kelly (Darren) Doiron, Robyn (Matt) Guempel, Rodney (Tasha) Mueller, Kevin Warren, Ben (Katie) Warren, Jennifer Warren, Donald R. Mueller, Jennifer Mueller, Joshua (Dana) Mueller, Jeremy (Liz) Mueller, and Leah (Chris) Captain; 16 great grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter; a sister-in-law, Betty Duco of Belleville, IL; nieces and nephews.
