Bruce L. McLaren, 79, of Mascoutah, IL, born Oct. 12, 1936, in Spokane, WA died Monday, Nov. 16, 2015 at Terrace on the Park, Mascoutah, IL.
Bruce was a retired CMSgt. serving 32 years in the U. S. Air Force and also a retired civil service employee where he worked for the U. S. Coast Guard. He was a certified member of the Clan MacLaren, an avid piper and a U. S. Air Force Viet Nam War veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Helen, nee Long, McLaren and his wife, Loretta J., nee Lait, McLaren whom he married in Ipswich Suffolk County, England on Oct. 30, 1957 and who died June 18, 2008.
Surviving are his children, David (Bente’) McLaren of Denmark, Marie (Mark) LaChance of Warrensburg, MO, Lorraine (Ken) Burns of San Antonio, TX, Robert (Susan) McLaren of Tucson, AZ, Ken (Clare) McLaren of Atlanta, GA; 15 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and two brothers.

Visitation : There will be no visitation.
Funeral : Graveside services will be held 10:30 AM Friday, Nov. 20, 2015 with Jack Spratte officiating and military honors provided by Scott AFB at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
