Frances A. Hundelt

Frances L. Hundelt, nee Surmeier, 90, of St. Libory, IL, born Feb. 25, 1925 in St. Libory, IL, died Monday, Nov. 9, 2015 at Terrace at the Park in Mascoutah, IL.

She was a homemaker, a member of St. Liborius Catholic Church, St. Libory, IL; St. Liborius Rosary Sodality; and the St. Libory American Legion Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Alphonse H. Thessing whom she married in St. Libory, IL on June 14, 1944 and who died Jan. 19, 1964; her second husband, Urban H. Hundelt whom she married in Fayetteville, IL on Apr. 26, 1975 and who died Aug. 16, 2002;, a son, Richard Thessing; her parents, Theodore and Bertha, nee Wennemann, Surmeier; a brother, Stanley Surmeier; three sisters, Ethel and Bernadette Surmeier, and Annette Fromme; three brothers-in-law, Raymond Mense, Herman Fromme and Frank Eddleman; and other relatives.

Surviving are three children, Paul Thessing of St. Libory, IL, Daniel (Barb) Thessing of Venedy, IL, and Ann Tweedy of St. Libory, IL; 7 grandchildren, Lori (Doug) Blue, Ben (Tracy) Thessing, Doug (fiancé Kayla) Thessing, Bob (Christine) Tweedy, Robyn (Adam) Wellen, Ryan Thessing, and Renee Thessing; ten great-grandchildren; a brother, Harry (Dorothy) Surmeier of Venedy, IL; two sisters, Florence Mense of St. Libory, IL, and Laura Edelman of Mascoutah, IL; a sister-in-law, Mary Surmeier of St. Libory, IL; nieces and nephews.

The family thanks the nurses and staff at Terrace on the Park for their loving care they provided our mother.

Visitation: Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 AM Friday, Nov. 13, 2015 at St. Liborius Catholic Church in St. Libory, IL.

Funeral: A funeral Mass will be held 11 AM Friday, Nov. 13, 2015 at St. Liborius Catholic Church with Father Dennis Voss officiating. Burial will follow in St. Liborius Catholic Cemetery, St. Libory, IL.
