Dixie Renee Fleming

September 3, 1963 — November 7, 2015

Dixie Renee Fleming, nee Summerlin, age 52, of Mascoutah, IL, born and raised in Eunice, LA, died Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015.

Renee was an executive support administrator for Scott Credit Union in Edwardsville and a member of Holy Childhood Catholic Church, Mascoutah.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J. B. “Johnny” and Dorothy “Tee”, nee Ransom, Summerlin; a sister, Jean Tanner; and a brother, Damien Summerlin.

Renee was married to Perry Fleming in Eunice, LA on Apr. 8, 1989 and together they have two beautiful daughters, Alison Fleming of Mascoutah, IL and Katelyn (Christopher) Fleming Grandstaff of Cocoa Beach, FL; two brothers, Harry (Jean) Summerlin of Eunice, LA, and Archie (Phyllis) Summerlin of San Antonio, TX; a sister, Michelle Summerlin of Saratoga Springs, NY; father-in-law, Perry L. Fleming of Pineville, LA; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jeffrey Fleming of Atlanta, GA, Kristal (Blake) Ducote of Pineville, LA, and Hope (Allen) Ringler of Trinidad, TX; along with many nieces and nephews who she loved as her own.

Renee loved well and gave all her heart to those she held dear.  She cherished her Cajun roots and was most happy when at her stove cooking and serving family and friends.  She was a beautiful gift from God and will be missed deeply.  She asked for little and gave her all.

Memorials may be made to Holy Childhood Memorial Improvement Fund; or to the American Cancer Society.  Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting mollfuneralhome.com.

Visitation: At the request of the family friends may visit from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015 at the Moll Funeral Home, Mascoutah, IL.

Funeral: A funeral Mass will be held 10 AM Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2015 at Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah with Father Paul Wienhoff officiating.  Burial will follow in Holy Childhood Catholic Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.
