Edward J Morgan

Edward J. “EJ” Morgan, 69, of Mascoutah, IL, born May 23, 1946 in Sharon, PA, died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Belleville, IL.

EJ was a retired MSgt. serving 26 years in the U. S. Air Force and also retired from the U. S. Postal Service where he worked for 20 years for the Mascoutah Post Office.  He was a member of Second Baptist Church, Sharpsville, PA  and the American Postal Workers Union, Belleville Area Local 407.

He was preceded in death by parents, James Edward and Alice Louise, nee Sanders, Morgan.

Surviving are his wife, Saundra J., nee Crump, Morgan of Mascoutah whom he married in Sharpsville, PA on May 14, 1966; his children, Ursula (Anthony) Hanner of Mascoutah, IL, Theron (Sheila) Morgan of O’Fallon, IL, Angel (LP) Wills of Mascoutah, IL; nine grandchildren, Andre (Dionne) Morgan, Kennedy, James and Anthony, Jr. Hanner, Theron, Jr., Sydney and Myla Morgan, Latia Morgan, Devin Wills; a great granddaughter, Jasmine Morgan; three sisters, Marcella Morgan of Sharpsville, PA, Loretta Hopkins of Anaheim, CA, Michele McMorris of Upper Marlboro, MD; two brothers, Allen Morgan of Sharpsville, PA, Larry Lee of Sharpsville, PA; a brother-in-law, Samuel Crump; and nieces and nephews.

Visitation :  visitation will be from 4 to 7 PM Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2015 at the Moll Funeral Home, Mascoutah, IL and 11:30 to 12:30 PM Wednesday, Nov. 4 at Victory Church St. Louis, 1400 Camp Jackson Rd., Cahokia, IL 62206.

Funeral :  funeral services will be held 12:30 PM Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2015 at Victory Church St. Louis with Pastor Ron Young officiating.  Interment with military honors will follow in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
