Norbert Anthony Behrman

Norbert Anthony Behrman, 65, of St. Libory, IL, born Oct. 13, 1949 in Belleville, IL, died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2015 at St. Louis University Hospital, in St. Louis.

Norbert was a retired roofer and recently owned and operated Knipp Roofing for 15 years. He was a member of St. Liborius Catholic Church; president of the St. Libory Commercial Club; past member of St. Libory Moose; past member of St. Libory Athletic Club; and he was an avid card player and a loyal St. Louis Cardinal Baseball fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Marie, nee Greten, Behrman; two brothers, Donald and Ralph Behrman; a sister, Lucy Piper; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Vernon and Mildred Weeke; and step mother-in-law, Ione Weeke.

Norbert is survived by his wife, Phyllis, nee Weeke, Behrman whom he married in St. Libory, IL on July 11, 1970; three sons, Anthony (Stacie) Behrman of Okawville, IL, Brad (Sherri) Behrman of Las Vegas, NV, and Corey (Elisha) Behrman of Bartelso, IL; six grandchildren, Aidan, Tobey, Bryce, Nate, Kaylie, and Trista Behrman; two brothers, Stanley (Shirley) Behrman of St. Libory, IL, Daniel (Barbara) Behrman of Oakdale, IL; three sisters, Grace Connelly of Walnut Hill, IL, Marlene (John) Schatte of Austin, TX, and Monica (Leroy) Leabo of Benton, MO; nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Sunday, Oct. 11, 2015 at St. Liborius Catholic Church in St. Libory, IL. A prayer service will be held 4 PM Sunday at the church.

Funeral: A funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM Monday, Oct. 12, 2015 at St. Liborius Catholic Church with Father Dennis Voss officiating. Interment will follow in St. Liborius Catholic Cemetery, St. Libory, IL.
