Eleanor Marie Demick, nee Hummert, 88, of Indianapolis, IN, formerly of Mascoutah, IL, born Nov. 26, 1926 in St. Libory, IL, died Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Rosegate Village Healthcare in Indianapolis, IN.
Eleanor was a homemaker; former seamstress; and a retired baker from St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville. She was a former member of Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah and St. Bruno’s Catholic Church in Pinckneyville, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Mary, nee Wessel, Hummert; a son, Mark Demick; three brothers, Norbert (Regina) Hummert, Leonard Hummert, and Raymond Hummert; two sisters, Hilaria (Robert) Lickenbrock, and Irma (John) Lohman; and two brothers-in-law, Jim Rakers, and Ralph Sandheinrich.
Surviving are three children, Richard (Gina) Demick of Castle Rock, CO, Marguerite “Meg” (Linus) Horcher of Indianapolis, IN, and Christine (Scot) Higginbotham of Festus, MO; three granddaughters, Rachael, Amanda, and Laura Horcher all of Indianapolis, IN; two sisters, Doris Sandheinrich of St. Libory, IL, and Jeanette Rakers of Mascoutah, IL; a sister-in-law, Jo Nell Hummert of Mascoutah, IL; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

Visitation : visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL. A prayer service will be held at 4 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
Funeral : a funeral Mass will be held 10 AM Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah with Father Paul Wienhoff officiating. Interment will be in Holy Childhood Catholic Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.Visits: 0
