Donald C. Rehbein, 84, of Belleville, IL, formerly of Mascoutah, IL, born Aug. 27, 1930 in Mascoutah, died Friday, May 15, 2015 at the Chester Rehab and Nursing Center in Chester, IL.
Don retired from the State of Illinois Highway Dept.; then worked for Mascoutah Wine and Liquor; and later retired from the City of Mascoutah Power Plant in 1995. He was a member of Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall in Belleville, IL; and the Musician’s Union.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Sr. and Martha, nee Hughes, Rehbein; two stepsons, Louis and James Wenzel; three brothers, Henry Jr., William, and Kenneth Rehbein; and two sisters, Eileen Holcomb, and Marjorie Odem.
He is survived by his wife, Zua E., nee Hood, Rehbein whom he married in Mascoutah, IL on July 13, 1962; four stepchildren, Judith Ann (Ron) Mueller of Hot Springs Village, AR, Rose Marie McKee of Kansas City, MO, Eva (Howard) Pannier of Marissa, IL, and Myra (Brad) Seewald of Mascoutah, IL; 16 step-grandchildren; 27 step-great grandchildren; one step-great-great grandchild; three brothers, Robert (Lois) Rehbein of St. Louis, MO; Allen (Lyla) Rehbein of O’Fallon, IL, and Carlyn (LaVerne) Rehbein of Mascoutah, IL; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral : a memorial service will be held 11 AM Saturday at the funeral home with Brother Donald McClain officiating. Following the service inurnment will be in Mascoutah City Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.Visits: 0
