Roberta J. “Bobbie” Schreiber, nee Wright, 74, born Nov. 23, 1940 in Harrisburg, IL, died Saturday, May 2, 2015 at her residence. She was living in Columbia, IL, but thought of Mascoutah as home.

Bobbie retired from Scott AFB as the Air Mobility Command’s publications manager. She had also worked for Emerson Electric in Washington Park and worked for the Nashville, Tennessee Mental Health Center. She was a member of O'Fallon United Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Kathleen, nee Wilson, Wright, cherished sons, Garry and Daniel Schreiber, and her only sibling, Chuck Wright.

Surviving are her husband, Larry M. Schreiber, who she married Sept. 6, 1958 in Caborn, IN, her son, Michael (Tanya) Schreiber of Columbia, IL; five wonderful grandchildren, Zackery, Nathan, Kylee, Lauren and Micah Jean; a daughter-in-law, Lynne Schreiber of New Baden, IL; a very special family, Billy, Buffi, Brian, Brandon and Brittni Gass; and some friends as close as sisters.

I am a pilgrim on a journey through the darkness of the night.
I am bound for other places crossing to the other side.
Jesus will be there to meet me.
He will put his hand in mine and I will no more be a
stranger when I reach the other side.

Visitation: There will be no visitation.

Funeral: A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Friday May 8, 2015 at Mascoutah City Cemetery with Rev. Joel Catlin officiating.
