Gene M. Thomas, 91, of Mascoutah, IL formerly of O’Fallon, IL, born Jan. 10, 1924 in O’Fallon, IL, died Wednesday, Apr. 29, 2015 at the MarKa Nursing Home in Mascoutah, IL.
She was a retired sales person and bookkeeper for Schwarz Furniture in O’Fallon, IL.
Gene was preceded in death by her parents, John and Edna, nee Rhein, Thomas; a brother-in-law, Leroy Kruse; a sister-in-law, Mildred Thomas; and two nephews, David Thomas, and Kevin Kruse.
She is survived by a sister, Lucille Kruse of Mascoutah, IL; a brother, Harold Thomas of Washington, MO; nieces and nephews, Carolyn Kruse, Kenneth Kruse, Kathleen Floyd, Susan Finkelman, and John Thomas; great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews, and cousins.
Gene’s family thanks Silver Creek Assisted Living, MarKa Nursing Home, and Hospice of Southern Illinois, Inc. for their loving and compassionate care they extended to Gene.
