Elvira M. Schubert, nee Rueter, 91, of Mascoutah, IL, born Dec. 5, 1923 in Tilden, IL, died Friday, Apr. 17, 2015 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.
Elvira was a retired seamstress from the former Martha Manning Dress Factory in Mascoutah and a member of the Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph, Sr. and Elizabeth, nee Sandheinrich, Rueter, her husband, Howard C. Schubert whom she married in Belleville, IL on April 7, 1948 and who died Dec. 18, 2002, a brother, Ralph Rueter, and a sister, Beatrice Breiner.
She is survived by three sons, Stanley (Alice) Schubert, Wayne Schubert and Dale Schubert, all of Mascoutah, IL; three grandchildren, Robert (Terri), Michael and Charity Schubert; four great grandchildren, Bryana, Samantha, Jaden and Caroline; a brother, Joseph Rueter, Jr. of Mascoutah, IL; two sisters, Lucille (Walter) Joffray of Mascoutah, IL, Ruth Krausz of Belleville, IL; and nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Holy Childhood School.
Visitation: Visitation is from 4 to 8 PM Sunday, Apr. 19, 2015 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held 10 AM Monday, Apr. 20, 2015 at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah with Fr. Jerry Hechenberger officiating. Burial will be in Holy Childhood Catholic Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.
