Dorothy Habrock, nee Herbst, 73, of Lively Grove, IL, born Aug. 1, 1941 in St. Louis, MO, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015 at her residence.
Dorothy was a homemaker and formerly worked as a legal assist at TWA in St. Louis, and also an administrative assistant for LaBarge Pipe and Steel of St. Louis. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Lively Grove, IL; she was very active in the Catholic Youth Education; she loved music; and she was a 12 year cancer survivor.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Sr. and Emma, nee Markovich, Herbst; her husband, Harold H. Habrock whom she married in Union, MO on Nov. 26, 1966 and who died May 28, 1980; two sisters, Mary Ann Kleinfeldt, and Jeannie Beahm; two brothers, George Herbst, Jr. and Robert Herbst.
Surviving are her three children, Tim (Chrissy) Habrock of Azusa, CA, Terry (Deb) Habrock of Lively Grove, IL, and Tracey (Jesse) Bach of Salt Lake City, UT; three grandchildren, Lukas Habrock, Beatrice and Henry Bach; a sister, Helen (Dave) Wolters of Arnold, MO, and three brothers, Joe (Marcia) Herbst, Tom (Susie) Herbst, and Andy Herbst all of Union, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Washington County Senior Services, St. Libory Fire Department First Responders, Siteman Cancer Research Center, or to any charity of your choice.
Visitation: visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015 and 9 to 10:30 AM Monday, Jan. 26, 2015 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Lively Grove, IL. A prayer service will be held 4 PM Sunday afternoon at the church.
Funeral: a Mass will be held 10:30 AM Monday, Jan. 26, 2015 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Lively Grove with Father Steven Poole officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery.Visits: 1
