Geraldine C. Richter

Geraldine C. Richter, nee Nadler, 86, of Mascoutah, IL, born Aug. 17, 1928 in Belleville, IL, died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014 at St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, MO.

She was a homemaker and member of the Mascoutah VFW Post 7682 Ladies’ Auxiliary.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Edna, nee Brendel, Nadler; her husband, Richard E. Richter whom she married on Dec. 13, 1947 in Bel Air, MD and who died Apr. 4, 1999; three brothers, Paul, Alois “Aly”, and Thaddeus “Jake” Nadler.

Geraldine is survived by three children, Gary Richter of Palm Harbor, FL, Beverly (Jerry) Horstmann of Maryville, IL, and Allan (Mary) Richter of Mascoutah, IL; six grandchildren, Shelley (Tim) Hess, Lesley (Gabe) Wise, Kyle (Amanda) Horstmann; Micah (Amanda) Richter, Jordan (Angela) Richter, and Lindsay (fiancé Tyler Moll) Richter; nine great-grandchildren, Carson, Hayden, and Delaney Hess; Alyssa, Kenley, and Kipton Wise; Greer and Reines Horstmann; and Alexandra Richter.

Memorials may be made to the Mascoutah VFW Ladies’ Auxiliary.

Visitation: visitation is from 4 to 8 PM Monday, Dec. 22, 2014 and from 9 to 11 AM Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.

Funeral: funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL with Father Jerry Hechenberger officiating. Burial will follow in Mascoutah City Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.
