Norbert A Richter

Norbert A. Richter, 77, of Mascoutah, IL, born Sept. 19, 1937 in Mascoutah Twp., IL died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Belleville, IL.

Mr. Richter was a retired owner and operator of N. Richter Tuckpointing in Mascoutah, a farmer and retired auctioneer. He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah, Mascoutah Lions Club and Roofers Local #2, Belleville, IL.

He is preceded in death by, his parents, Howard P. and Thelma M., nee Renth, Richter, a son, Keith Richter and a sister, Janice Dameron.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda, nee Fox, Richter of Mascoutah, IL whom he married in Mascoutah on Oct. 8, 1988; his children, Nancy (Lou) Schubert of Mascoutah, IL, Deana (William) Campbell of Nashville, TN, Gary Walthes and fiancé Jeanette Barnett of Carlyle, IL, Geoffrey (Lea) Walthes of Germantown, IL;13 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brothers, Dennis (Janice) Richter and Roger (Rita) Richter, both of Mascoutah, IL; other sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorials may be made to the family or to the donor’s choice.

Visitation: visitation is from 8 to 11 AM Monday, Dec. 8, 2014 at St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah, IL.

Funeral: funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, Dec. 8, 2014 at St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah with the Rev. Hugh Fitz officiating.  Burial will follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
