James Allen Michael Funk, 31, of Mascoutah, IL, born Oct. 28, 1983 in Richmond Heights, MO, died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield, IL.
Jimmy was a farmhand; a 2003 graduate of Mascoutah High School and member of FFA; he was founder of the Hog Wild Pulling Team and it’s many members.
Jimmy will be forever remembered for donating his organs through the Gift of Hope organization to save other lives.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Dennis Funk; and his maternal grandfather, Martin Mueller.
Jimmy is survived by his father, Timothy A. Funk of Mascoutah, IL; his mother and stepfather, Jane A., nee Mueller, and Douglas Wagner of Marissa, IL; two brothers, Taylor (fiancé Jennifer Nesbit) Wagner of St. Libory, IL, and Jordon (Bailey) Wagner of Coulterville, IL; two stepbrothers, Darryl (Sarah) Seitz of Troy, IL, and Chris (Megan) Seitz of Chicago, IL; two stepsisters, Jamie (Michael) Press of Mascoutah, IL, and Amie Seitz of Mascoutah, IL; paternal grandmother, Pepper (Kenny) Neuner of Mascoutah, IL; maternal grandmother, Pearl Mueller of Mascoutah, IL; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
In lieu of all other gifts, memorials may be made to Gift of Hope, 425 Spring Lake Dr., Itasca, IL 60143; or to any Food Pantry of your choice; or to the family for expenses. Condolences can be sent to the family at mollfuneralhome.com.
Visitation: Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014 and from 8 to 10 AM Monday, Nov. 24, 2014 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Monday, Nov. 24, 2014 at the Moll Funeral Home with Pastor Don Wagner officiating. Private burial will be in Valhalla Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Belleville, IL.Visits: 2
