Terry L Weier

Terry L. Weier, 56, of Mascoutah, IL, born June 27, 1958 in Belleville, IL died Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Siteman Cancer Center, St. Louis, MO.

He was a seed salesman for Terayne Ag Specialists, Inc. in Venedy, IL. He was an avid deer hunter, woodworker and truly loved spending time in the woods. Terry was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Mascoutah, IL where he served as Elder, Trustee and Youth Group Counselor; he was a retired Captain serving 15 years on the Belleville Northwest Volunteer Fire Department; former arson investigator; EMT; certified CPR instructor and Monterey Coal Company Mine Rescue Team rear captain.

He was preceded in death by his father, William B. Weier.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon A., nee McGeehan, Weier whom he married in Belleville, IL on May 20, 1978; his daughters, Angie (Bob) Walter of Mascoutah, IL and Nicole (Ryan) Roehrig of Mascoutah, IL; three grandchildren, Sydney and Camryn Walter and Parker Roehrig; his mother, Sharon L., nee Daesch, Weier of Shiloh, IL; two brothers, William R. (Patty) Weier of Shiloh, IL and Dennis M. (Valerie) Weier of Troy, IL; also survived by many loving family members and dear friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Friday, Oct. 17, 2014 and from 9 to 10 AM Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014 at Zion Lutheran Church in Mascoutah, IL. There will be a Northwest Fire Department walk through at 7 PM Friday evening.

Funeral: A funeral service will be held 10 AM Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014 at Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Kirk Clayton officiating. Burial will follow in Green Mount Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
