Elton M. Bequette, Jr.

Elton M. Bequette, Jr., 74, of Mascoutah, IL, born Jan. 15, 1940 in Old Mines, MO, died Monday, Oct. 6, 2014 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Belleville, IL.

Junior was a retired truck driver and a member of the Mascoutah Moose Lodge 815.

He was preceded in death by his sons, Michael and Thomas Bequette, his parents, Elton and Ferna Mae, nee Missey, Bequette, two brothers and three sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki D. Bequette, nee Dickhaut, of Mascoutah, IL whom he married in Mascoutah on Nov. 6, 1964; his son, Larry (Robin) Bequette of Vandalia, IL; 1 granddaughter; 3 great grandchildren; two brothers, Billy Bequette and Brad (Laura) Bequette, both of Summerfield, IL.

Memorials may be made to St. John United Church of Christ or to the charity of donor’s choice.

Visitation: Friends may call from 8:30 to 11:30 AM Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014 at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah with the Rev. Hugh Fitz officiating. Burial will follow in Mascoutah City Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.
