Brenda Lee Gamez

Brenda Lee Gamez, 64, of Mascoutah, IL born Nov. 16, 1949 in Bethesda, MD died, Thursday, July 3, 2014 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville, IL.

She was a homemaker and a retired cook from Freeburg Care Center.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Belinda Baca and her father, Louis Earl Sweeney.

She is survived by her husband, Marcelino Gamez whom she married in Dupo, IL on May 14, 1994; her children, Benny Amburgey (Janie) of Alma, IL, Terry (Rebecca) Amburgey and Jason Amburgey of Mascoutah, IL, Tisha Kaiser and fiancé Jeremy Hotz of Shiloh, IL; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; her mother, Iris Faulita, nee Johnson, Adams; her step-father, Earl Adams; two sisters, Kathy Halbert of Avon, IN and Tina Ellett of Grapevine, TX.

Visitation: friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Sunday, July 6, 2014 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.

Funeral: a funeral service will be held 10 AM Monday, July 7, 2014 at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL with the Rev. Hugh Fitz officiating. Burial will be in Mascoutah City Cemetery.
