Dorothy C. Buss, nee Wuebbels, 77, of Lively Grove, IL, born April 9, 1937 in Damiansville, IL died Friday June 20, 2014 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO.
She was a homemaker; member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Lively Grove, IL; St. Anthony’s Ladies Sodality; and also enjoyed quilting.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jane Buss, her grandsons, Thomas and Craig Buss, her parents, Edmond and Agnes, nee Rensing, Wuebbels and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gregory (Cecilia) Buss.
Surviving are her husband, Norbert T. Buss whom she married in Damiansville, IL on June 5, 1957; her children, Marvin (Vicky) Buss, Janice (Steve) Friederich, Alan (Pam) Buss, all of Lively Grove, IL; eight grandchildren, Kim (Tim) Archibald, Tiffany (Chuck) Baumgartner, Danny Friederich and fiancé Katie Schmittling, Tim Friederich and fiancé Tosha Kidd, Joey Friederich and friend Ashley Honer, Stephanie Friederich, Amber (Bobby) Statler and Megan Buss; a great-granddaughter, Raelyn Statler; a brother, Cyril (Judy) Wuebbels of Troy, IL; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Leo (Mary Ellen) Buss, Mary Ann (Jerome) Heckenkemper, Bernadine (Linus) Meier; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. Anthony’s Cemetery Fund or in the form of Masses.
Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2014 and from 9:30 to 11 AM Wednesday, June 25 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Lively Grove, IL. A recitation of the rosary will be held 4 PM Tuesday at the church.
Funeral: A funeral Mass will be held 11 AM Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Lively Grove, IL with Father Dennis Voss officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery, Lively Grove, IL.
