Bessie M Flamuth

Bessie M. Flamuth, nee Funk, 91, of Mascoutah, IL born Jan. 8, 1923 in Freeburg Twp., IL, died Friday June 20, 2014 at MarKa Nursing Home in Mascoutah, IL.

Bessie was a homemaker; member of St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah; Mascoutah Senior Citizens; Mascoutah Historical Society; and St. Clair County Farm Bureau.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vermont H. “Dickie” Flamuth whom she married in Mascoutah, IL on May 28, 1967 and who died Jan. 8, 2003, her parents, Herbert and Erma, nee Mohr, Funk, her step-father, Elmer Roth and a brother, Lorraine Funk.

She is survived by a niece, Dawn (Bob) Simmons of Tiverton, RI; a nephew, David Flamuth of Mascoutah, IL; great-nieces, Nicole, Kelly and Samantha Simmons; special cousin, Carl Reinneck; and many good friends.

Visitation: friends may call from 9 to 11 AM Monday, June 23, 2014 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.

Funeral: a funeral service will be held 11 AM Monday, June 23, 2014 at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah with the Rev. Hugh Fitz officiating. Burial will be in Trinity United Church of Christ Cemetery, Fayetteville, IL.
