Raymond J. Wilhelm, 96, of Mascoutah, IL, born April 20, 1918 in Mascoutah Township, IL, died Friday, May 23, 2014 at Terrace on the Park in Mascoutah, IL.
Ray was retired from Excelsior Foundry in Belleville. He was a member of Holy Childhood Catholic Church, Mascoutah; Mascoutah Laborers Local 742; and Glass Molders, Pottery, Plastics and Allied Workers Local 182-B in Belleville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Anna, nee Friederich, Wilhelm; two brothers, Richard and Norbert Wilhelm; a sister, Dorothy Billhartz, sister-in-law, Emma Wilhelm, two brothers-in-law, Alvin Wobbe, and Donald Billhartz.
He is survived by a sister, Frances Wobbe of Atlanta, GA; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great great-nieces and nephews.
In lieu of all other gifts, memorials may be made to Holy Childhood Memorial Improvement Fund.
Visitation: visitation is from 11 AM to 1 PM Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah, IL.
Funeral: a funeral Mass will be held 1 PM Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at the Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah with Father Ken York officiating. Burial will be in Holy Childhood Catholic Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.
