Eugene H. Otten

Eugene H. Otten, 68, of St. Libory, IL born Aug. 10, 1945 in St. Libory, IL, died Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at MarKa Nursing Home in Mascoutah, IL.

He was a retired meat cutter for Schnucks and an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, a member of St. Liborius Catholic Church, St. Libory; American Legion Post 683, St. Libory; Meat Cutters Local 534, Belleville; and a U. S. Air Force veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman B. and Catherine A, nee Sommer, Otten.

Surviving are his children, Kristi (Ben) Wittenauer of Mascoutah, IL, Chris (Lacy) Otten of St. Libory, IL, Lindsay (Neil) Wagahoff of Raymond, IL; brothers and sister, Don (Rita) Otten of Venedy, IL, Charles (Jane) Otten of St. Libory, IL, Mary Ann (Don) Haas of Mascoutah, IL; an aunt, Ruth Sommer of St. Libory, IL; nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or St. Liborius Catholic Church.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Friday, April 11, 2014 at the St. Liborius Catholic Church in St. Libory, IL and Saturday, April 12 from 9 to 10:45 AM at the church. A prayer service will be held 4 PM Friday at the church.
