Ronald M. Lindsay, Sr., 68, of Mascoutah, IL, born Oct. 28, 1945 in St. Louis, MO, died Sunday, Mar. 2, 2014 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville, IL.
Ron was a retired TSgt. from the United States Air Force; a Vietnam War veteran; he was a Director of Golf at several local golf courses; and a member of Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah, IL.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Sue, nee Oldfather, Lindsay; a brother, Jim Lindsay in infancy; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Catherine Serati; and a sister-in-law, Jacquelyn Duhamel.
He is survived by his wife, Lynda M., nee Serati, Lindsay whom he married in St. Louis, MO on Sept. 4, 1965; four children, Ronald M. (Amy) Lindsay, Jr. of Shiloh, IL, Chris (Michelle) Lindsay of Mascoutah, IL, Toby (Jennifer) Lindsay of O’Fallon, MO, and Casey (Nick) Seibert of Mascoutah, IL, seven grandchildren, Tori and Grace Lindsay, Zach and Megan Lindsay, Payton Lindsay, Addison and Bailey Seibert; a brother, Tim (Colleen) Lindsay of St. Louis, MO; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Kathie (Tom) Katz of Houston, TX, Joseph (Tammy) Serati of Kansas City, KS, Bill (Judy) Duhamel of Rapid City, SD; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of all other gifts, memorials may be made to Concerned Christians, or the Mascoutah Food Pantry.
Visitation: visitation is from 4 to 8 PM Wednesday, Mar. 5, 2014 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL, and from 9 to 10 AM Thursday, Mar. 6, 2014 at Holy Childhood Catholic Church, Mascoutah, IL.
Funeral: a funeral Mass will be held 10 AM Thursday, Mar. 6, 2014 at the Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah with Father Thomas Santen officiating.
