Helen I. Moll, nee Koch, 88, of Mascoutah, IL, born July 11, 1925 in Belleville, IL died Monday, Feb. 24, 2014 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville, IL.
Helen was a homemaker, member of Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah; Women of the Moose Chapter 392 in Mascoutah; and the first president of the Holy Childhood School Mother’s Club.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel H. Moll whom she married in Belleville, IL on July 3, 1945 and who died May 12, 1985; a son, David E. Moll; her parents, Henry and Emma Marie, nee Leonhardt, Koch; a sister, Ruth Haas; three brothers, Joseph, Thomas and Frank Koch; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
She is survived by seven children, Dianne (Robert) Brendel of Mascoutah, IL, Michael (Sally) Moll of Shiloh, IL, Robert (Debra) Moll of Mascoutah, IL, James (Jana) Moll of Belleville, IL, Daniel J. Moll and fiancé Marilyn McDaniel of Collinsville, IL, Steve (Lisa) Moll of Mascoutah, IL, and Michelle (Chris) Lindsay of Mascoutah, IL; 16 grandchildren, Christine Brendel, Amy Brendel, Matthew (Sarah) Brendel, Stacey (Brian) Rongey, Sarah Moll and friend James Nielsen, Chad Moll and fiance Amanda Diefenbach, Tiffany (Gene) Meurer, Jacki and Jacob Moll, Daniel P. (Shelby) Moll, Westley Moll and friend Caitlyn Raitz, Kyle (Kayla) Moll, Gabrielle and Anthony Moll, Zachary and Megan Lindsay, 11 great grandchildren, Madison Wetzler, Chase and Brody Brendel, Colin and Nolan Rongey, Laura Jean, Mathan, Keagan and Evelyn Meurer, Carson and Mallory Moll; also survived by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Margie (Richard) Sax and Ralph (Pam) Middendorf; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of all other gifts, memorials may be made to Holy Childhood School.
Visitation: visitation is from 4 to 9 PM Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014 and 8:30 to 9:30 AM Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.
Funeral: a funeral Mass will be held 10 AM Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014 at the Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah with Father Dennis Voss officiating. Burial will be in Holy Childhood Catholic Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.
