Jack R. Braeutigam, 62, of Mascoutah, IL, born May 8, 1951 in Belleville, IL, died Monday, Feb. 10, 2014 at the University of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City, IA.
Jack was a machinist for Cablofil in Mascoutah, IL; a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Mascoutah; Mascoutah Moose Lodge #815 where he held various offices including Governor; and he was a U. S. Navy veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Margaret, nee Dolence, Braeutigam; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edwin and Erna Frederking.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley, nee Frederking, Braeutigam whom he married in Okawville, IL on Sept. 26, 1981; a daughter, Angela (fiancé Matt Wilkerson) Braeutigam of Mascoutah, IL; two sisters, Rosalie Braeutigam of Belleville, IL, and Peggy (John) Andersen of Belleville, IL; a brother, James (Gail) Braeutigam of Murphysboro, IL; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Leo (JoAnn) Frederking of Glen Carbon, IL, Alice (Dennis) Klasing of Okawville, IL, Roy (Linda) Frederking of Okawville, IL, and Gene (Sharon) Frederking of Addieville, IL; an aunt, Dorothy Knebelkamp of Belleville, IL; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
In lieu of all other gifts, memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church Organ Fund, 101 S. Railway Ave., Mascoutah, IL 62258, or to Mooseheart, c/o Moose Charities, 155 S. International Dr., Mooseheart, IL 60539-1100.
Visitation: friends may call from 1:30 to 4 PM Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014 at the Zion Lutheran Church, Mascoutah, IL.
Funeral: A “Celebration of Life” service will be held at 4 PM Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014 at Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. Kirk Clayton, Pastor officiating.
