Thelma J Vahlkamp

Thelma J. Vahlkamp, nee Foster, 79, of Belleville, IL, born Jan. 16, 1934 in Swanwick, IL died Monday, Nov. 11, 2013 at Rosewood Care Center, Swansea, IL.


Mrs. Vahlkamp was a homemaker and a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert D. and Eva Rose, nee Flowers, Foster, her husband, Fred L. Vahlkamp, Jr. whom she married in St. Louis, MO on Nov. 27, 1954 and who died Aug. 15, 1988 and two sons, Stephen and Gregory Vahlkamp.


She is survived by her daughter, Connie (Keith) Warner of Bellevile, IL; daughters-in-law, Kay Vahlkamp Anderson of Belleville, IL, Bonnie Vahlkamp Sharos of Swansea, IL; six grandchildren, Zack (Crystal) Vahlkamp, Luke Vahlkamp, Brian (Danielle) Vahlkamp. Sheri (Mike) Mertens, Brittnee(Jason) Greenwell, Brook Warner (fiancé Eric Lockart); six great grandchildren, Stephen, Henry and Adalynn Vahlkamp, Parker Mertens, Addyson and Gabriella Greenwell; a sister, Phyllis (Ronald) Hammel of Chester, IL; and sister-in-law, Audrey Schmitt of St. Louis, MO.


Thelma’s family would like to express their sincere appreciation and gratitude to Family Hospice and the staff of Rosewood Care Center.

Visitation: friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013 at Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL. A prayer service will be held 6 pm Wednesday, Nov. 13 at the funeral home.


Funeral: a funeral Mass will be held 10 AM Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013 at St. Pancratius Catholic Church, Fayetteville, IL with Msgr. James Blazine officiating. Burial will follow in St. Pancratius Catholic Cemetery.
