David O. Kronemeyer

David O. Kronemeyer, 85, of Mascoutah, IL, born Sept. 13, 1927 in Princeton, IN died Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013 at his residence.

David was retired from Illinois Power Co. and a WW II Navy veteran. He was an avid reader; enjoyed doing crossword puzzles; playing euchre; and teasing the great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Ione, nee Bush, Kronemeyer; two brothers, Earl and Bob Kronemeyer; and a sister, Doris Holley.

Surviving are his wife, Betty J., nee Richter, Kronemeyer whom he married in Memphis, TN on Feb. 14, 1976; children, Larry (Judy) Kronemeyer of Millstadt, IL, and Kenneth Kronemeyer; stepchildren, Kathleen (Robert) Welker, and Susan (Kenneth) Voss of Mascoutah, IL, and Lorie (Frank) Eby of Aurora, CO; seven step-grandchildren, Carl (Leslie) Welker, Nicole (Morgan) Christ, Kari Welker, Brandon (Laura) Voss all of Mascoutah, IL, Jason (Melissa) Voss of Carbondale, IL, Heather (Luke) De Nooy of Colorado, and Lindsey Eby of California; seven step-great grandchildren; Delaney and Liam Welker, Gavin, Mady, and Tyler Christ, Sarah and Caleb Voss; and a sister, Barbara Halleen of Belton, TX.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10 to 11 AM Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013 at St. Martin of Tours Lutheran Church in Mascoutah, IL followed by a Celebration of Life service at 11 AM with the Rev. Margo Peterson officiating.
