Arthur H. Boller, Jr.

Arthur H. Boller, Jr., 82, of Mascoutah, IL, born Mar. 24, 1931 in Engelmann Township, IL died peacefully on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Art retired in 1994 as a senior vice president in lending from Magna Bank in Belleville after 35 years; a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah, IL; and served in the U. S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur H., Sr. and Edna A., nee Humphries, Boller; and his wife of 60 years, Rita Ann, nee Biddle, Boller whom he married in Santa Maria, CA on June 20, 1952 and who died Aug. 4, 2012.

Art was a very loving father and was extremely devoted to his family.

He is survived by four children, Catherine (Thomas) Klingelhoefer of Mascoutah, IL, Duane (Rita) Boller of Salt Lake City, UT, Cynthia (Terry) Grommet of Belleville, IL, and Ruby Parker of Park City, UT; seven grandchildren, Tara (Dustin) Graul of Denver, CO, Melanie (Bryan) Bernat of St. Louis, MO, Haley Klingelhoefer of Mascoutah, IL, Samuel Boller of Farmington, MI, Quentin (Stephanie) Grommet of Belleville, IL, Megan (Dwight) Espenschied of Freeburg, IL, and Caitlin Grommet of Mascoutah, IL; eight great-grandchildren, Remington and Case Graul, Mason Bernat, Jacob, Jackson, and Quinn Grommet, and Wyatt and Audrey Espenschied; an uncle, Elmer Humphries of Belleville, IL; three sisters-in-law, Donna Delashmutt of San Antonio, TX, Betty O’Brien of San Antonio, TX, and Cleo (Wayne) Coonfare of Coos Bay, OR; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois, Inc.; or St. John United Church of Christ.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL, and from 10 to 11 AM Thursday, July 11, 2013 at St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah, IL.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 11, 2013 at St. John United Church of Christ in Mascoutah, IL, with the Rev. Hugh Fitz officiating. Burial will be in Mascoutah City Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.
