Lela M. Glaeser

Lela M. Glaeser, nee Brower, 101, of Mascoutah, IL, born Dec. 27, 1911 in Waverly, IL, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at MarKa Nursing Home, Mascoutah, IL.


Lela was a homemaker, a factory seamstress and a retail sales clerk. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Mascoutah.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Nellie, nee Berry, Brower; her husband, Bert W. Glaeser whom she married in Carlyle, IL on June 15, 1935 and who died Oct. 15, 1999; a son, Donald Glaeser; a grandson, Jeffrey Glaeser; a brother, John Brower; and four sisters, Edith Stewart, Anna Schaefer, Theda Knipp, and Frances Bomberger.

She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Arlene M. Glaeser of Smithton, IL; two grandsons, Scott (Nancy) Glaeser of Millstadt, IL, and Bradley (Lisa) Glaeser of Millstadt, IL; three great-granddaughters, Samantha, Megan, and Sarah Glaeser all of Millstadt, IL; nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, 63 W. Main St., Mascoutah, IL 62258; or MarKa Nursing Home, 201 S. Tenth St., Mascoutah, IL 62258.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Thursday, June 27, 2013 and from 10 to 11 AM Friday, June 28, 2013 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.

Funeral: A funeral service will be held 11 AM Friday, June 28, 2013 at the Moll Funeral Home with Pastor Jason Woolever officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fairview Heights, IL.
