Glenda R. Smith, nee Hall, 64, of Carlinville, IL, born Sept. 14, 1948 in Fulton, KY, died Monday, May 20, 2013 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO.
She was a retired service representative from Social Security Administration.
Glenda was an avid quilter and enjoyed her loving grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl R. and Florence E., nee Lucroy, Hall; and two granddaughters, Mackenzie and Hayley Cheek.
Surviving are her husband, Mark M. Smith whom she married in Moro, IL on May 24, 1997; a son, Mark (Michele) Blunt of Mascoutah, IL; a daughter, Kim (Todd) Cheek of Pontiac, IL; father of Glenda’s children, Bruce Blunt of St. Louis, MO; four grandchildren, Taylor and Cameron Blunt, and Peyton and Trinity Cheek; a brother, Carl “Bud” (Mary Ann) Hall of Troy, IL; and her mother-in-law, Virginia Smith of Woodriver, IL.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society; or Mackhayley Foundation, 1110 Bailey Dr., Pontiac, IL 61764.
Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Thursday, May 23, 2013 at the Moll Funeral Home, Mascoutah, IL. In accordance with Glenda’s wishes her remains will be cremated.
