Sherry Ellen Brosdahl

Sherry Ellen Brosdahl, nee Evans, 41, of Belleville, IL, born June 3, 1971 in Portland, OR died May 8, 2013.


Sherry was married to Dennis Vecera of Anchorage, AK and together they had a son Kris and two daughters Hannah and McKendri. She also was married to Bradley Brosdahl of Illinois and together they have two daughters, Abbigail and Annalise.


Sherry is formerly of Alaska where she attended Houston Jr/Sr High School. She moved to Anchorage, AK after high school and soon married Dennis and had her three older children. After their divorce, Sherry met and married Brad who is active duty military.


They moved to various places over the next 16 years as military families often do. One of her favorite places was Glenwood, IA where she owned and operated a small local restaurant, Bear Creek BBQ along with her older children. She recently relocated to Illinois, again as a military wife.


Surviving are her parents, David and Sharon Evans of Pahoa, HI; husband, Bradley Brosdahl, daughters, Abbigail and Annalise Brosdahl of Illinois, son Kris Vecera and grandson Kemper Vecera, both of Omaha, NE, daughters, Hannah and McKendri Vecera of Glenwood, IA; siblings, Anna Lavender of Palmer, AK, Jason Evans of Palmer, AK, Natalie Forbis of Seward, AK, Nathan Evans of Chugiak, AK and Eli Evans of Pahoa, HI, along with their spouses, numerous nieces and nephews, grandmother, Wanda Freese of Creswell, OR, and numerous cousins, extended family and friends throughout Alaska and the lower 48.


Preceding her in death are her grandparents, Floyd and Della Evans of Bend, OR; her uncle, Wesley Samples of Kent, WA, and her younger sister Melanie Evans of Wasilla, AK.


Funeral: The family will have a private viewing and service.
