Loretta Christ, nee Ribbing, 89, of Mascoutah, IL, born Dec. 29, 1923 in Germantown, IL, died Tuesday, Apr. 30, 2013 at MarKa Nursing Home in Mascoutah. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Loretta was a member of Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah, HCCCW, Women of the Moose, and former member of Holy Childhood Mother’s Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Rosa, nee Pollmann, Ribbing; her husband, Lawrence Christ whom she married on May 8, 1946 and who died on Sept. 5, 2002; three brothers, Ervin, Victor, and Alvin Ribbing; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; and dear friends, Udell and Ethel Kimmle.
She is survived by five daughters, Mary Lou (Alphonse) Schlueter, Kathy (Richard) Williams, Barbara (David) Lembke, Darlene (Philip) Ribbing, and Debra (Jeffrey) Cameron, all of Mascoutah, IL; 11 grandchildren, Jason (Corie) Schlueter, Kelly Schlueter, Leslie (Tracey) Cooley, Carrie (John) Ross, Michael Williams, Christopher (Jill) Lembke, Jaime (Andrew) Swedrowski, Alicia (James) Willmont, Lindsey Ribbing, Michelle Cameron, and Stephanie (Zac) Bullard; 12 great-grandchildren; Abbey Schlueter; Dean, Sarah and Lauren Cooley; Sienna, Brock and Garrett Ross; Tyler Masterson, Adelyn Lembke; Samantha Cameron; Avery Lewis; and Baby Bullard; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Holy Childhood Catholic School, Mascoutah, IL.
Visitation: will be held from 4 to 8 PM Thursday, May 2, 2013 and from 8:30 to 9:30 AM Friday, May 3, 2013 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL. A Women of the Moose ritual will be held at 6:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
Funeral: a funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM Friday, May 3, 2013 at Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah with Msgr. Jerome Hartlein officiating. Burial will be in Holy Childhood Catholic Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.
