Garry A. Schreiber, 50, of New Baden, IL born May 21, 1962 in Belleville, IL died Thursday, April 25, 2013 at his residence.
He was a network administrator for Harris Corporation, a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Mascoutah and a Desert Storm U. S. Air Force veteran.
Garry was a devoted husband, father and son who was very involved in his boys sports, football and track, and enjoyed attending their competitions. He was an avid muscle car enthusiast and a proud member of the 1979 MCHS state football championship team.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Schreiber, his father-in-law, Kenneth W. Williams, his grandparents and an uncle.
He is survived by his wife, Lynne, nee Williams, Schreiber, of New Baden, IL whom he married in San Antonio, TX on Feb. 8, 1989; two sons, Zackery Schreiber of New Baden, IL and Nathan Schreiber of Normal, IL; his parents, Larry and Roberta, nee Wright, Schreiber of O’Fallon, IL; a brother, Michael (Tanya) Schreiber of Columbia, IL; mother-in-law, JoAnne Williams of Hazleton, PA; a brother-in-law, Kenneth B. Williams of Philadelphia, PA; two sisters-in-law, Shannan (David) Callavini of Hazleton, PA and Melanie Dillman of Frackville, PA; also survived by an aunt, an uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church Memorial Fund and accepted at the funeral home.
Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Monday, April 29, 2013 at Moll Funeral Home, in Mascoutah, IL and Tuesday, April 30 from 10 to 11 AM at Zion Lutheran Church in Mascoutah, IL.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. Kirk M. Clayton officiating. Burial with U. S. Air Force military honors will follow in the Mascoutah City Cemetery.
