Adoracion D. "Dory" Butler

Adoracion “Dory” Butler, nee Labial, 71, of Belleville, IL, born Jan. 6, 1942 in Salay, Misamis Oriental, Philippines died Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.


Dory was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church. She was associated with the Fil-Am Association and participated in many of its cultural, fellowship, and charitable activities. She enjoyed singing, cooking, sewing, playing mahjong, and having her friends around to feast on the delicious oriental dishes from her kitchen.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred E. Butler, her parents, Policarpo and Vicenta, nee Dolores, Labial, a sister, Eufrecina Laplana, five brothers, Cristobal, Efren, Ramon, Democrito, and Bernardino Labial.

Surviving are a daughter, Madelyn (Robert) Steely of Scott AFB, IL; a granddaughter, Catherine E. Steely of Kaiserslautern, Germany; a sister, Erlinda Gelbolingo of New York; sisters-in-law, Corazon Labial, Delia Labial and Loretta Olson; a brother-in-law, Wilfred Cody; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 2 to 4 PM Monday, April 1, 2013 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.

Funeral: A funeral service will be held 4:00 PM Monday, April 1, 2013 at the Moll Funeral Home, Mascoutah, IL with Pastor James Clark officiating.
