Gertrude E. Stelzer, nee Peters, 85, of Mascoutah, IL, born Aug. 12, 1927 in New Haven, MO, died Wednesday, Mar. 06, 2013 at Terrace on the Park, Mascoutah, IL.
Gertrude was a baker at the Mascoutah Community High School for 30 years, and during her off time in the summer she worked at Schnucks as a baker in the deli department. She was a member of Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Elizabeth, nee Sullentrup, Peters; her husband, Wm. Kenneth Stelzer whom she married in New Haven, MO on May 13, 1950, and who died July 22, 1989; two brothers, Carl and Edward Peters; two sisters, Mary (Harold) Reutter and Wilma (Bud) Lefmann; and two nephews, Mitchell Reutter and Paul Edward Peters.
Gertrude is survived by two children, Lynda (John) Nollau of Mascoutah, IL, and Wayne Stelzer of Belleville, IL; five grandchildren, Wm. Scott (Christine) Stelzer, Jessica (Chris) Wright, Shane (Kimberly) Nollau, Melissa (Jerrod) Haas, and Allana (Jamie) Williams; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Peters of New Haven, MO; a sister-in-law, Violet Peters of Washington, MO; nieces and nephews.

Visitation: There will b no visitation.
Funeral: A funeral Mass will be held 10 AM Friday, Mar. 8, 2013 at Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah with Msgr. Jerome Hartlein officiating. Burial will be in Holy Childhood Catholic Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.
