Marie W. Kehrer, nee Christ, 88, of New Memphis, IL, born Jan. 24, 1925 in Mascoutah, IL, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 at Cedar Ridge Health and Rehab Center in Lebanon, IL.
Marie was a member of Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah; the Holy Childhood Council of Catholic Women; and she worked at several of the Blood Drives at Holy Childhood School. Marie loved spending time with family and friends, playing cards, and quilting.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Ottilia, nee Wolfersberger, Christ; her husband, Erwin J. Kehrer whom she married in Mascoutah on Nov. 27, 1946, and who died July 19, 1991; a son Brad Kehrer; son-in-law, Randy Cole; two great-grandsons, Jacob and Thaddeus Kraus; two sisters, Edna (Hap) Hulliung, and Mildred (Cotton) Hoffmann; four brothers, Hubert (Carnation) Christ, Gilbert (Laura) Christ, Eugene Christ, and Ray (Perry) Christ; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Josephine Christ, Ruth (Bill) Boad, Dolly (Ed) Christ, Rachel (Herman) Renth, Elmer (Margaret) Kehrer, Roland (Gladys) Kehrer, and Russell Kehrer.
Marie is survived by eight children, Jim Kehrer of Honolulu, HI, Wayne (Sharon) Kehrer of Wentzville, MO, Roger (Bridget) Kehrer of Mascoutah, IL, Shirley Cole of Belleville, IL, Nancy (Dennis) Brown of Belleville, IL, Pam (Joe) Fulfer of Arlington, TX, Bruce (Deb) Kehrer of New Baden, IL, and Dale (Leah) Kehrer of New Baden, IL; daughter-in-law, Peggy (Dale) Staley of Okawville, IL; 20 grandchildren, David (Anne) Kehrer, Brian Kehrer, Brent Kehrer, Jen (Mike) Gagliano, Matt Kehrer, Keith (Paula) Kehrer, Krysta (Nick) Barnard, Maggie (Will) Shackelford, Kelly (Trevor) Whitaker, Ryan (Jennifer) Cole, Tiffany (Mike) Kraus, Nicci (Steve) Ehinger, Kimmy Brown, Melissa Fulfer, Trevor (Cara) Kehrer, Tyler (Megan) Kehrer, Mikaela Kehrer, Dustin Kehrer, Colton Hagen, and Shelby Kehrer; 21 great-grandchildren; a brother, Alvin Christ; a sister, Catherine (Carl) Kehrer; two sisters-in-law, LaVerta Christ, and Esther Kehrer; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013 at the Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah, IL.
Funeral: A funeral Mass will be held 10 AM Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013 at Holy Childhood Catholic Church in Mascoutah with Msgr. Jerome Hartlein officiating. Burial will be in Holy Childhood Catholic Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.
