Ruth L. Gulley

Ruth L. Gulley, nee Weeks, 80, of Mascoutah, IL, born Aug. 19, 1932 in Blaine, KS died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013 at her daughter’s home in Mascoutah.


She was a homemaker and very dedicated to the Lord. Ruth was a member of Fastoria Baptist Church in Fastoria, KS.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Gulley whom she married in Trask, MO on March 25, 1949 and who died March 15, 2000, an infant son, Charles Dean Gulley, her parents, Chester L. and Elsie B., nee Campbell, Weeks, four brothers, Martin, Frank, Louis and her twin brother, Ronald Weeks, and two sisters, Helen Stumbaugh and Mae Reiling.


Surviving are four daughters, Rhonda Gulley of Mascoutah, IL, Brenda (David) Stark of Roeland Park, KS, Sandra (Neil) McElligott of Mascoutah, IL and Jaci Gulley of Mascoutah, IL; four grandchildren, Gannon Reeves and dear friend Carey Sweeten, Heather (Rafael) Reed Leyva, Jodee Reed and fiancé Mike Perrine and Brandon Tabor; three great-grandchildren, Xavier, Esabella and Sebastian Leyva; also survived by sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.


Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or Hospice of Southern Illinois, Inc.


Visitation: Friends may call from 10 to11 AM, Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013 at First Baptist Church in Mascoutah, IL.


Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013 at First Baptist Church in Mascoutah, IL with Pastor Duane Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Mascoutah City Cemetery.
